PENN 525 MAG2
The forged and machined aluminium spool sits on a 'live' spindle which allows it to 'free float' for reduced drag and increased performance.
The spool is controlled by the all new patended adjustable magnetic brake which is adjusted by a dial on the left hand sideplate.
The frame and sideplates are made from lightweight but strong graphite.
The powerful 6 : 1 retrieve is provided by a large high strength marine grade bronze main gear which drives the stainless steel pinion gear.
The drag is an all new patented Versa-Drag system which uses the HT-100 washers and has a positive 'click' adjustment for precise control.

6 shielded stainless steel ball bearings and infinfinate anti reverse help ensure that everything runs smoothly.
The 525 MAG2 weighs in at 414gm and has a capacity of 256m of 0.38mm nylon

PENN 515 MAG2
The long awaited 515 MAG2 is a much narrower version of the all new 525 MAG2. It shares all the new design features of it's larger model but has a narrower spool and cage and weighs 408gm. This gives it a capacity of 247m of 0.36mm nylon which is more than enough on the beach for all but the most serious of casters.

The narrow spool and Penn's magnetic braking make the 515 a serious distance reel with 15lb mono and the powerful 6:1 retrieve and Patented famous Penn Versa Drag will handle the tougest of ground marks and hard hitting fish!

Penn 525 Super Mag Xtra

One of the UK's favorite shore multipliers! The 525 SuperMag Xtra is a little more radical. This has a completely new mag set up with even more variable braking, based on experience gained by us in the US facility experimenting with numerous magnet configurations while working with Penn’s specialist engineers.

The mag control system is completely replaced by a brand new, purpose designed and built in the UK endplate that retains the clicker. The new side plate sports a low ratchet wheel to operate a non rising stem attached to a new magnet carrier offering an increased range of travel.

To make sure things stay smooth running, we have replaced the standard spool bearings with ABEC 5 Ceramic hybrid bearings with metal races (many ceramics hybrids use a nylon race which dissolves after prolonged soaking in petrol). .

Penn Jigmaster New 2010 Upgrade

The Penn Jigmaster was one of the earliest designed casting reels from Penn and is still going strong as a favorite casting reel for anglers. The Jigmaster features a quick take-apart feature that allows anglers to change spools (and line classes) while on the water.
